Donna Hamilton co-anchors 11 News at 5 with Stan Stovall weekdays on WBAL-TV.

Donna joined the 11 News team in February 1995. Donna Hamilton is a familiar name and face to Baltimore area viewers.

Her skills as an interviewer and producer helped establish "Evening Magazine" as Baltimore's top-rated prime access program from 1981 until 1990.

Donna has also anchored highly rated programs for the Maryland-based Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel, including "Women of the World" and "Great Country Inns." Her book, "Donna Hamilton's Gracious Country Inns and Favorite Recipes" was based on the series.

In 1991 Donna earned national awards (American Film & Video, Ohio State Awards) for producing, writing and anchoring the documentary "The Peacemakers."

An hour-long exploration of the peace movement in Israel, "The Peacemakers" has been viewed worldwide and has been included in the libraries of institutions such as Wellesley College, The University of Toronto and the CIA.

Donna has traveled the world, working on assignment in locations such as South America, Europe, Asia and Africa in addition to the Middle East. Her versatile career also includes being cast in the feature film "Philadelphia" and "In the Line of Fire" and hosting a Saturday morning talk radio program on WBAL-AM.

Donna and the 11 News special projects team have won several awards for health reporting, including Outstanding Specialty Reporting from the Chesapeake Broadcasters Association, Best TV Segment from Baltimore magazine and First Place Specialty Reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Donna Hamilton was born in Birmingham, Alabama and attended Auburn University and The University of Alabama-Birmingham where she graduated with degrees in English and Sociology. She lives in Baltimore with her husband and has two children, Jesse and Cada.
