Melissa Carlson

WBAL-TV 11 news reporter Melissa Carlson has been with WBAL-TV for two years.

From breaking news to Sunday morning festivals, there isn't anything Melissa doesn't cover. Yes, that's usually her in the snow, rain, and blistering wind.

Before Baltimore, Melissa was a reporter at KRNV in Reno, NV. She also spent five years at KRON in San Francisco where, amongst other things, she produced and anchored CNN and MSNBC News Inserts.

One of her most memorable moments in TV -- interviewing terrified employees of the Trans America Pyramid Building in San Francisco the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.

Melissa was born and raised in California, she speaks fluent Portuguese and is a mean cook!

She and her husband currently live in southern Maryland, but escape to the ocean to scuba dive any chance they get.
