BALTIMORE -- A Fourth of July celebration turned deadly in Baltimore for two people. Authorities said two men are dead and another is recovering from gunshot wounds following a triple officer-involved shooting. It happened at a AFCSME Union Hall in the 1300 block of Bush Street around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.According to police, they were met by an unruly crowd that had been kicked out of the hall when they arrived on the scene. Crowd members discharging guns into the air began firing at police, and they fired back, striking three people. One of the men shot was pronounced dead at the scene. Two of the men shot attempted to flee the scene, according to police, but their car crashed into a parked vehicle. They were both taken to the hospital, where one man later died. Police said they believe the three men shot may have been related.
Police said multiple arrests were made at the scene and a number of people had firearms. Area residents told 11 News reporter Josh Davidsburg that they were not surprised at the incident.
